This month’s employee spotlight is on the amazing Johanna Rogers. She is the Learning and Development Specialist and has been with Engage fi now for a little over a year. Johanna helps define and develop programs using various applications and documentation tools to foster and grow Engage fi through education and professional development. Johanna’s favorite thing about working at Engage fi is the culture and collaborative spirit. She is always positive and a cheerleader for everyone on the team, willing to help anyone at any time!
Johanna grew up in a small German town outside San Antonio, TX. However, she was born in Mobile, AL, and would still visit quite often, and now is where she permanently resides. Johanna loves everything about Mobile, especially that it is very family-oriented, and there is always something fun her family can do together. She cherishes all the time spent with her family, especially her daughter.
Outside the office, Johanna enjoys adventures with friends and family, reading, museums, and being a momma. Her favorite vacation she has taken was to Italy and Greece with her stepdaughter when she graduated high school. Johanna loves to experience all kinds of different cultures through cuisine. If she had to pick one food to live off for the rest of her life, it would be NYC pizza. In her free time, you will find Johanna reading a book outside or enjoying her guilty pleasure of super dark chocolate and a glass of good red wine.

Q: Describe Engage fi in 5 words or less: A: Engage fi walks the talk.
Q: Do you have a motto or a mantra? What is it? A: “Know your own crazy and make it work for you, not against you.”
Q: What is your definition of success? A: Happiness.
Q: What book did you read last? A: Tough one as I read VORACIOUSLY! I am currently rereading the Patricia Cornwell “Scarpetta” series and am on book #11 out of the full 24.
Q: What is an ability you wish you had? A: NAPPING!
Q: Best advice you’ve ever been given? A: “I don’t care if you clean toilets for a living- you clean them better than anyone else can.” -Boppa (my granddaddy’s advice on work ethic).
Q: What is something funny that happened to you recently? A: After meeting a friend for lunch, going to work out, and then going to the grocery store, I came home to realize that my pants were on inside out
Q: If you were the newest crayon in the box, what color would you be and why? A: Chartreuse green because it reminds me of my Momma.
Q: What is your favorite 90’s jam? A: That is too hard to choose just one but…. Unbreak My Heart- Toni Braxton (prefer the dance remix).
Q: Top three life highlights: A: Birth of my daughter is always number one, but as far as experiences go…. Driving Martha Stewart’s yacht under the Brooklyn Bridge on my 30th birthday, taking a tap workshop from Gregory Hines, and one extremely hilarious trip to a Home Depot with my Momma in North Jersey.
